A new sweater!! The inspiration for today's creation was exactly that - a new sweater that I purchased on clearance over the weekend at Gander Mountain in Mentor, Ohio. When I got the sweater home and was looking at it closer, I was thinking to myself "hey, those colors are Basic Gray, Bashful Blue and Purely Pomegranate - I bet that color combo might make a pretty interesting card". So, off I went and I have finally come up with this finished product. During the creative process, I also came up with a twist on the emboss resist technique. Since it was a 2 Step Stampin' set that I was using, I thought it would be interesting to see how it turned out with stamping the second image over the embossed image so check out my new simple little tutorial of that process HERE!
I also wanted to touch real quick on how I did my silver Canvas Background. I stamped the background lightly in VersaMark Ink and embossed with silver embossing powder. After it was cool and "set", I gently rubbed over the top of it with the corner edge of my sanding block to give it a more distressed look.
Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you enjoy today's card! :)
